Our Classrooms
At The Growing Place, we believe children learn best in an environment where learning is engaging and enjoyable. Our educational programs are thoughtfully designed to support the emotional, social, and physical development of each unique child.
We also recognize the importance of meeting the needs of families. Below, you can explore our classrooms to learn more about each age group and determine which setting is the best fit for your child.
Two Year Old Classroom
Our toddler room accommodates up to ten two-year-olds who are eager to explore and learn new things. At this age, our focus is on supporting the development of communication and motor skills. Each day is intentionally planned with activities that promote social and emotional growth, encourage creative expression, and strengthen cognitive development through hands-on learning.

Two and Three Year Old Split Classroom
Our toddler/preschool room serves ten to twelve older two-year-olds and young three-year-olds. This classroom was created as a transitional space for children who are not quite ready for our three-year-old preschool program but are ready for more structure and engagement than a younger toddler.
A key focus in this room is building healthy social skills and learning appropriate ways to cope when challenges arise. At this stage, children are developing independence and strong personalities, so we emphasize group participation, guided center play, and positive peer interactions. With supportive adult direction, children in this room gain the skills and confidence they need to transition smoothly into preschool.

Three Year Old Classroom
Our three-year-old preschool room is where learning and fun come together through engaging activities designed for all twelve students to enjoy. This is the stage where early literacy and language development truly begin to take root. Each day is filled with hands-on, playful experiences that keep children busy and excited—often without them even realizing how much they’re learning!
As children form meaningful friendships, they begin to recognize and express their feelings, develop a better understanding of the world around them, and use their senses to explore new concepts. During this time, they also enter the early stages of foundational math skills in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.

Pre-K Classroom
Our Pre-K room is where the seeds of early literacy truly flourish. We design our curriculum to align with Kentucky’s Early Learning Standards and supplement it with a proven program that helps children grow into confident early readers.
With a class size of fourteen or fewer, this program offers preschoolers a valuable opportunity to engage in math, science, social studies, and physical development centers. Through these hands-on learning experiences, children build the skills they need to be well-prepared for kindergarten.
